PROJECTS

2008

  • The Project Title” Capacity Building of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) and affiliated companies in design of networks and treatment plant for water and wastewater through GTZ (German Fund)
PROJECTS

2007

  • Project Title” Capacity Building of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) for the Hydraulic Automation. EU funded Project. The Tasks includes:
    1. All hydraulic analysis of the National Master Plan (NMP).
    2. Operational Sustainability Plan (OSP), set in place the main principals for technically ensuring the sustainability for the update maintenance of the hydraulic analysis for the NMP throughout the nation-wide of the Egyptian context.
    3. Integrated Training and Development Work Plan (ITDWP.

  • Development of HCWW staff profiles (i.e. for a water and wastewater engineers) in the areas of using the relevant computer GUI application, especially Auto-CADR, MS-Office relevant application, and notably Water CAD and Sewer CAD;

  • Training HCWW staff on the revision of the NMP’s engineering hydraulic analyses by involving them in all phases of work in this project of NMP and ensuring that they acquire sufficient capacity to maintain and operate the such S/W, especially Water CAD (W-CAD) and Sewer CAD (S-CAD).

  • Technical Workshops – Theme 1. These workshops took place during the inception phase and focused on introducing the W-CAD and S-CAD and discussing the types of assumptions that were adopted for the development of a baseline scenario, and how they affected the two S/W variables.

  • Technical Workshops – Theme 2. These workshops took place at the beginning of the data collection phase and focused on discussing the questionnaires as well as the out-of-model calculations needed to feed the two S/W model in the context of existing hydraulic systems.

  • Technical Workshops – Theme 3. These were 7-day workshops, and took place towards the end of the data collection phase and will focus on learning how to load data in the two S/W models and simulate different assumptions and targets.

  • Workshop at Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden (PERSGA), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The duration was 5 days for 20 participants from all Arab nations. The Title of Courses are:
    1. Wastewater characteristics
    2. Wastewater Treatment Systems
